These lovely carved chairs are reproductions of the type of easily portable chairs used in China hundreds of years ago for travel or hunting trips. Wealthier members of society would take a break from hunting or fishing, with the chairs easily carried by their servants.

The chairs are in beech wood and each feature a beautifully carved central backrest, depicting a mythical 'Kylin' in the centre and characters for good luck at the top. The soft fabric seat allows the chair's crossing legs to fold away. Perfect for extra seating indoors or outside when guests arrive, or just as interesting ornamental pieces.
